Mustard Microgreens are one of the most flexible microgreens in terms of growth and nutrition. They mostly germinate in cool temperatures but grow fine with heat as well reaily from 10-20°C. Microgreen mustard seeds produce mildly spicy, tender, succulent microgreens that add mild horseradish flavour to salads and blends. A superb source of carotene and antioxidants, as well as a host of vitamins and minerals. Mustard microgreens are green in colour.

Planting instructions

For sowing microgreen seeds, firstly choose a container that is around 4 inches deep.

A flat tray or a pot is suitable.

Fill it with potting soil and spread seeds on the surface, covering them with a thin layer of soil.

Allow the plant to germinate for 2 days.

Growing Requirements

Fresh seed mix is available at any nursery for buying. Handpicked garden soil would also solve the purpose.

A bright sunlit window or a spot that receives 5-6 hours of sunlight is good enough for the microgreen to develop.

Water twice or thrice a day to keep your microgreens thriving.

how to harvest

Alfalfa microgreens can grow up to 3 inches tall in around 15 days.

However, it can be harvested in 10-12 days as well, as per requirement.

Take a sharp scissor or a knife and cut the shoots from above the soil, without touching the roots.

Wash the microgreens, pot harvest and they are ready to eat.
