A native of northern Italy, Zucchini light green is a quick growing and productive variety with large fruits. The club shaped heavy bottom light green and white zucchini fruits grow upto 5-6 inches. The flesh inside is of pale white colour with creamy taste and texture. The club shape of the zucchini light green makes them a great choice for stuffing. Planting instructions
Zucchini light green seeds will perform best in constantly warm soil temperatures in the range of 20 to 22°C. Sow the seeds at a depth of ½ inches in well-draining soil mix rich in humus. The seeds should start germinating in 7 to 14 days in ideal conditions. Zucchini light green is a greedy variety and adding some compost to your soil prior to planting will definitely help. You can also add some chicken manure or cow dung soil mix as top dressing once the plants have set.

Like other summer squashes, Zucchini light green plants are susceptible to fungal diseases like leaf blight, brown spotting, downy mildew and bacterial diseases like blossom end rot. In addition to this, aphids, cabbage looper, cucumber beetle, leaf miners, and thrips can affect the zucchini plants. Clear out all weeds before planting and use organic neem spray to manage pests.

Zucchini light green will grow best on fertile well-draining soil rich in humus. Mulching can help in increasing the level of humus in soil.
