These can be grown easily and do not require much to thrive. Helpful in fixing atmospheric nitrogen through its root nodules, cowpeas carry all the essential nutritional benefits and the makings of a super food. Majorly rich in Vitamin A, B9, C, fibre, protein, copper, iron, and phosphorous, consuming cowpeas is an excellent way to prevent the risk of developing cancer, diabetes, anemia, cold sores, and even depression. Including cowpeas in your diet will also help in maintaining a healthy metabolism, bowel system, cardiovascular system, and immunity. Also great for having strong bones and healing injured muscle tissues. Eating cowpeas results in a radiant skin and shiny hair as well. These can be cooked with spices and vegetables after soaking overnight. They are also used as an important ingredient in soups, salads, pastas, sandwiches and many other dishes as a taste-enhancing and healthful ingredient.

Soil should be mixed with well rotten Cow dung. Sow seeds in rows at distance of 2 feet between row to row and 0.5 feet between plant to plant. Irrigate immediately and then as per requirement. Harvest after 50 - 55 days.
