Growing guide for Spinach America Seeds

Planting instructions

Spinach America can be easily grown in garden beds, raised planters, or containers with a depth of at least 20 cm. Sow seeds about 1–1.5 cm deep with 15–20 cm spacing between plants for best leaf growth.

Growing Requirements

pests & diseases

Watch out for aphids, leaf miners, and fungal leaf spots. Neem oil sprays and proper spacing can prevent most infestations and diseases.

soil

Prefers well-draining, fertile loam enriched with compost or organic matter. Slightly acidic to neutral soil with a pH between 6.0 and 7.0 works best.

spot

Choose a sunny to partially shaded spot for growing spinach. It performs well in cool, bright conditions without direct harsh afternoon sunlight.

temperature

Ideal growing temperatures range between 10°C to 22°C. High heat can cause premature bolting, so cooler conditions are preferred.

watering

Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Water regularly at the base of the plant to promote tender and flavourful leaves.

how to harvest

Harvest begins about 35–45 days after sowing when the leaves are full and tender. Pick the outer leaves first for continuous growth. Use fresh leaves in salads, sautés, parathas, or as a nutritious addition to soups and smoothies.
