How did you start gardening?

I started gardening at a very young age. Since my parents have been farmers, I grew up watching them work in the fields. From them I learned the basics of gardening and farming.
What are some of your favourite plants to grow in the garden?

I have many favourites to grow in my garden. My neighbours and friends think I have a green thumb but honestly Mother Nature does all the hard work, I just take the credit. But I love growing lettuce, radishes, carrots, cabbage, beetroot, Pak Choi, Chinese cabbage, cherry tomatoes, green beans and many more.
What are some of the plants that you have not had as much success with?

My garden has only produced one successful Zucchini over the past years so I'm treating them like royalty. My Zucchini always gives up halfway but I'm determined to figure out what it needs.
Are there any new plants on your wish list?

I’ve had my eye on Asparagus. Also since my family has a cake and pastries business I love to grow edible flowers to decorate on cakes we bake.
What would you like to say to our new gardeners?

Starting a vegetable garden is all about learning from nature.The most important rule for beginners is to start small and pick 3 to 5 crops you actually love to eat. Don't worry about perfection, your goal is to learn, experiment and enjoy the process.
Any gardening hack you want to share?

Using animal manure is indeed an incredible gardening hack! Manure makes the magic happen.
Any particular Instagram account you follow for inspiration?

@ballerinafarm - I love her homesteading lifestyle, her delicious recipes, and her store is what inspired me. She posts videos of herself cooking from scratch, milking cows, gathering eggs, and homeschooling her children.The family sells farm raised meats, sourdough starters, kitchen goods and wellness products directly from their farm. There is something so inspiring about watching another big loving family thrive. It looks just like the beautiful chaos I grew up in. It takes a lot of patience and even more love to raise a big family.
