AllThatGrows Farm Day: Soil & Seasons – November 2025 Update

Between keeping the operations running smoothly, researching new products, and navigating the everyday battles with shipping partners, our team looks forward to one thing the most - Farm Day.

AllThatGrows

It is the one day each month when we get to step away from our desks and deeply reconnect with the soil that inspires everything we do. Here’s a warm and earthy update from our November 2025 Farm Day.

1. Malabar Spinach That Keeps Climbing

Malabar Spinach That Keeps Climbing

We already offer five varieties of spinach seeds and are working to add more to our catalogue. That means choosing which one gets the prime space on our main vegetable beds is never easy. This year, the winner was Malabar Spinach, and it has not disappointed. Its strong, trailing vines are climbing confidently up the sturdy stakes we installed in the raised beds. Alongside the spinach, we planted yam beans, and they too are thriving beautifully. Together, they make a lush and productive corner of the garden that we are especially proud of.

2. Basil Beds in Full Bloom and Aroma

Basil Beds in Full Bloom and Aroma

Can one ever have too much basil? Certainly not at our farm. Three varieties - Basil Green, Basil Greek Ball, and Basil Cinnamon - have completely taken over several raised beds. Their leaves are vibrant, their flowers are blooming, and thanks to the pollinators visiting them, the beds are buzzing with life. With the plants now flowering, the fragrance across the garden is simply irresistible. Naturally, we harvested a generous bunch for the office pantry’s fresh pesto, a seasonal favourite that never lasts more than a day.

3. Marigolds Lighting Up the Garden Edges

Marigolds Lighting Up the Garden Edges

A garden feels complete when its borders are lined with bright and dependable flowers. This season, our farm manager chose his most trusted favourites - marigolds. Apart from adding bold pops of orange and yellow, they play a vital role in welcoming friendly insects like bees and ladybirds. These hardy plants not only beautify the pathways but also support a healthy ecosystem across the beds.

4. Cabbage Patches Coming Up Nicely

Cabbage Patches Coming Up Nicely

The larger farm areas, planted earlier in the season, are now showing wonderful progress. The autumn-planted cabbages are growing into large, healthy heads that are a delight to observe. Some of them will later be moved to the raised beds once space becomes available. Keeping this open patch weed-free is essential for steady growth, and our cheerful farm team manages this task with care every day. Their teamwork is just as impressive as the cabbages themselves.

5. Fresh Supply of Winter Methi

Fresh Supply of Winter Methi

Winter in North India is incomplete without methi finding its way into almost every meal - aloo methi, methi parathas, methi matar, methi dal, and many more. So of course, we had to ensure that a fresh and steady supply would be ready throughout the season. One of our lush methi patches is already doing exceptionally well, promising flavourful greens for the coming winter months.

6. Radish Pink Ready for Its Turn

Radish Pink Ready for Its Turn

Where methi thrives, radish follows closely behind. We grow seven varieties of radish across the winter season, each taking its turn so the supply remains constant. Right now, the spotlight is on Radish Pink, and the plants are growing quickly. In the next two to three weeks, they will be ready to harvest, adding crunch and colour to salads and stir-fries for the entire team.

7. Winter Veggie Rows All Planted

Winter Veggie Rows All Planted

As always, the largest open areas are planted first to give winter veggies the time they need to settle and flourish. Rows and rows of winter vegetables are now in the ground, waiting for their moment. In just a month, these beds will transform the entire landscape with fresh leaves, shoots, and colours. It is one of the most satisfying stages of the farming cycle.

Farm Day may leave us physically exhausted, but it fills us with joy and purpose. Walking through the beds, observing the growth, and breathing in the freshest fragrance reminds us why we do what we do. These moments are worth every bit of effort.

Till next time, happy gardening!
